Hi 👋
After 18 months of work and releases, the time has finally come to leave the 0-based version number and take the step to 1.0. Manet has been stable and well-received for a long time now, and the move to 1.0 is mostly here to reflect that while also bringing new features as well as a few improvements.
For too long the iPad had to deal with the small iPhone-shaped screen on the big beautiful screen. No more! The app now has support for using the entire iPad screen to display content, as well as behaving nicely in features like SlideOver and Stage Manager, as well as drag-and-drop support for adding tracks into playlists.
Being a native iOS app, Manet automatically takes advantage of the new Liquid Design language released by Apple. Having an app that feels native to the platforms is something important to me, and I’m happy to be able to have this support available (almost) from day one.
Along with making the app work well on iOS 26, I’ve also decided to drop support for iOS 17 to better take advantage of the new APIs made available on the platforms. Users on iOS 18 will still receive updates.
Manet will now sync periodically in the background, keeping your library up-to-date without you having to manually go in and press “Sync now”.
As always, there are also a few smaller changes in this version:
Thank you for your continued support of me and Manet!
/ André
